@quicksilver I know this is an old topic, but the link seems to have changed. I was looking up the information for this issue and found this:

@mitu It was there...until I reinstalled with the dispanx flag set...sorry about that.

So i added it back to the sorr directory and I can now get the game to launch using your original instructions. However the window is still just small in the upper left corner of the screen. :(

In order to do what interests to me, is the PI 3B also a good model?

Yes, but you might consider the 3B+ model released last year. The Pi4 is also out, but it's not fully supported by RetroPie yet.

Is there a list of which games of which systems can be played online?

It depends on the emulator used. The lr-.. emulators - Libretro Cores - that run through RetroArch can have Netplay ability - see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Netplay/. You can consult the core page at https://docs.libretro.com and see if it has Netplay enabled (see for instance http://docs.libretro.com/library/mame2003_plus/).

The other thing I was asking about Homebrews is:
Wich version of Streets Of Rage Remake and Open BOR runs fine and have the almost game compatibility? I have to use two version of Open BOR to make the old and newest game both running?

I don't know about SORR and OpenBOR compatibility. In RetroPie, OpenBOR uses an old fork which is optimized for the Pi, could be it's not compatible with games created for recent OpenBOR games - there's whole topic for this with lots of details here.

I've put a guide up here for SORR 5.2 and RetroPie 4.7.x - although this is with a Pi 3.
      I'll do another one when I get a Pi4.

@darksavior said in Exit button AND video options in sorr Streets of Rage Remake?:

So in finding out there's going to be a sor4 and it looks absolutely horrible, I decided to reinstall sorr today. It's an old problem so I'm not sure if anyone's ever figured it out:

In "PC" mode, all video options are available but no Exit button.
In "PSP" mode, most video options are greyed out but it has an Exit button.
I tried the other modes but they don't seem to offer any differences.

Is there a way to have the best of both worlds?

Or @zerojay if you're not too busy, maybe you have a solution. Thanks.

I don't have any solutions. I knew about the PSP switch though but I think it disables multiplayer so I didn't use it.

I remember an epic SoR commercial set in an operating room. Doctor #1: "Is that his face?" Doctor #2: "No, I think THAT is his face."

      @hansolo77 said in Help Remapping non-LibRetro games/systems:

It sounds like xboxdrv is your favorite.

It is, but I do recognize that it's not a simple thing to jump into. After a cursory look at the different options when I was starting out, xboxdrv seemed to be the most versatile solution. The others seem to lack a valuable feature to me here or there, but they also seem a bit easier to setup and that can of course be a valuable trade-off to many people. I've even noticed a few features from other mappers that don't exist in xboxdrv.

Is it possible to use it just for 1 or 2 systems, or is it a complete replacement to the default xpad driver?

It can indeed be used with one or two systems. When used in conjunction with the xpad driver, the following line would need to be added.

      --detach-kernel-driver

As I have never tried this myself, I'll leave the explaination to the xboxdrv manpage entry:

"Detaches the kernel driver that is currently associated with the given device. This is useful when you have the xpad module loaded and want to use xboxdrv without unloading it."

Can you give me some pointers/tips?

Again, I'll be honest. All this is not exactly easy. You may even find out that it's still not the right approach for your particular setup. However, if you find that it does work for you, it becomes pretty easy to configure these mappings over time.

When I started looking into this, there wasn't even an available guide, so I had to pour through the manpage and seek out help on other forums that made similar use of the software. As far as following the guide here on the wiki is concerned. I would recommend reading closely, asking questions and eat it one bite at a time. Any problems that will prevent it from working on your setup will present themselves in the first few steps, so you won't really waste any time.
