I think EmulationStation (and its skins) should have system logos that are Region dependent.

@h2805270 Really clever idea, looks a lot like Teletext, and clean layout too. My only reservation is that I'm not sure I'd want to spend too long looking a Teletext screen, as they're not the easiest on the eye. I was never a big user back in its heyday though, and others may well have a greater fondness and nostalgia for it.

I impulse ordered one of these bad boys. A GameSir G3s. May turn out to be crap but figured it is worth a try.

      Which is your budget?

If you want something with top quality and wish to spend 30, 50 or more dollars, I'd recommend you any 8bitdo bluetooth controllers. These are great recreations of controllers from older consoles such as SNES, Mega Drive and NES. They even created a SNES controller with two analogs and two more shoulder buttons, just like a PS4 controller.

However, if you don't want to spend more than 10 dollars per controller, I'd recommend you USB controllers from older consoles that you can buy on AliExpress. Here's some examples:

NES USB - Around 3 dollars per unit SNES USB - Around 4 dollars per unit Sega Genesis USB - Around 5 dollars per unit Sega Saturn USB - 10 dollars per unit

@quicksilver Thanks for the summary. I found these threads from you about overclocking:

and this thread by @thelostsoul that you participated in:

I will read them in my next spare time.

@herb_fargus I've pretty much tackled it as far as I'm willing to at the moment. I'd certainly revisit it later after a Pi 4 were released or if I felt the need to get a Pi 3B+.

Anyway, I've linked it properly on the wiki now. Hopefully someone finds what I've documented useful. Know I would've loved to just have a quick list of 51 games I could run on my overclocked Pi 3B.

Decided to just go with the Google Sheets method. It is smarter.

I do agree the lists need complete overhaul as some games that ran flawlessly, now don’t work (Pokemon Snap)

@capeman hey handsome and intelligent EmulationStation user! :)

That request in regards to the video screensaver is noted. I think others (maybe even you!) had requested something to that effect in the past and I tried to look into that but didn't find a way to make it happen.

I may take another look at the in the future, no promises about any timeline though. But thanks.

The other request, I'm not sure the creator of that screensaver visits the forums so if you get no traction here I'd encourage you to post about it on GitHub. :)

      Have a great weekend!

@Zigurana Well I was really thinking about the pi zero not necessarily the pi 3. Don't the USB controllers need to be encoded to whatever the console needs I figured since retropie was already emulating the console controls it might be easier to figure out a way to output that onto however many data pins they have in say a Dreamcast controller as opposed to designing your own custom program through arduino. I mean your going to have to emulate the controller by the console anyway. Does someone already have a project started for Arduino?
