      Hello all,
sorry to be reviving an old post, but I find myself in the same situation 3 years later and I cant seem to find a solution that keeps up with the changes through time.
I have a Raspberry pi B+ and are running Retropie v.4.7.
I have been able to use a DS3 controller since I setup my raspberry pi with a bluetooth dongle, which I had paired on my laptop initially with the SCPtoolkit. So that was plug and play at the time and didnt even realise this was a complicated matter.
A few weeks ago I decided to get another controller and dongle to do the same for player 2, which obviously did not work.

      I have :
tried to pair them separately and together,
tried the ps3 controller drivers with both original and clone options
      tried the sixaxis option aswell.
My results where mixed, but the botom line is that the best I could get was to have one controller through the bluetooth dongle and one on a USB.

*Should also mention that they both work on my laptop with a single bluetooth dongle, setup with SCPtoolkit.

I can see that you have suggested 1 option that I would like to try, but have failed to do so on my own, either because of my inexperience or because the instructions are outdated.I need to check if by disabling the wifi it allows both of them to connect and if it does to setup your script in the menu so that I can toggle it.

      When I press f4 and type wget http://raw.githubusercontent.com/crcerror/RetroPie-Shares/master/rfkill_wifi_dialog.sh -O "/home/pi/RetroPie/retropiemenu/Wifi Switch.sh"
It says the directory or file does not exist. Now I can see the actual link of the .sh file on github is different that what is suggested, but I did try to replace it with no success.
I also tried to change the location file to "/home/pi/RetroPie/configs/Wifi Switch.sh" hoping that by placing it there might still work but it doesnt.
Lastly I feel that there must be something that I am missing sicne there are no other solutions out there available but also not many others discussing it, which makes me wonder has this been solved in a simple matter and I am just blind?!

Thank you for your time and sorry for the long post, I hope you can help me.

After giving up with every option I decided to try and type that all over again, seems it was a mistype...:S
Anyway I can confirm this works for 2 ps ds3 controllers!!! Now I am off to show off my skills on CTR to my partner!!!

      Thank you for your support!!!

@six-string said in Unable to connect to WiFi:

@mitu Well... just installed Raspbian. Still can't connect to network.

Guess I'll look into troubleshooting that. Thanks.

This is stupid but I found solution. You need to connect an RJ45 (ethernet) cable to rpi port. Now you can run raspi-config without wpa-supplicant error and There was an error running option N2 Wi-fi.. Then can you now set ssid and password (now reboot or not) and wifi will works correctly.

When this wifi works correctly bluetooth too works good. When I had problem (like you) with wifi my bluetooth was non stop disconnecting.

@dandy_j Can you run sudo rfkill unblock all (from the terminal, after exiting Emulationstation) and see if you can detect the wifi networks afterwards.
Is your WiFi configured for 2.4 Ghz b/g or it's just 5Ghz ? The PI only has 2.4 Ghz capabilities.

Seems similar to https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/2522, still unresolved.

@ithortureu alternatively you can just use a program like WinSCP to add roms etc.

@thedatacereal The file in the /boot folder is only read on system boot, and it's copied in the proper folder in /etc. Any modifications you do in the configuration file for wpa_supplicant are not applied in real-time, but you can restart the networking service (which in turn will call wpa_supplicant) and they'll be picked up.

This can be done easily via dialog command. You will save lots of character to be assigned if you use hash value of password... So only 0-F needed!
You can also extend the command to ASCII-7bit but ... well it's solveable by ease. Who gots the time

We need a dilaog command with 4 Button layout
      1 Button OKAY
      2 Button CANCEL
      3 Button UPPER/LOWERCASE
      4 Button Numbers/Sentence signs

      then we build array [A-Z] and each character gots one counter... So 1 = A, 2 = B ....
We read back counter out of array and got the character. Each selected character is assigne to new array .... KEYBOARD input. Really easy! Any guy got time to code?

There is also the possibilty to import other WIFI via this method and use multiple SSIDs

@kevinshope You could disable the onboard Wifi from the rpi-config utility, reboot and then re-configure to make sure that it's the Wifi dongle that's getting used all the time.

If you are used to an OS such as Winodws or Mac, then Linux is a pretty steep learning curve. It took me a few days of reading and getting it wrong and reinstalling Raspbian more than once to work out what was happening. I installed RetroPie from the manual install script a couple of times as well. You won't damage your PI but maybe get frustrated and banging your head against the table trying to work out what won't work and why

There is quite a bit of manual installation even after getting RetroPie up and running. Linux is a good OS but needs a fair bit of user assistance to get it running how YOU want it to run, especially in allowing access to various parts that you normally wouldn't be able to access to give you more control over it

Once it is running, RetroPie is a breeze to use and very simple to add to as and when YOU want to including adding or removing ROMs or emulator systems, unlike Windows that constantly badgers you for yet another security/software update (especially Windows 10 that has taken ALL the control away from the user when updates are needs .... or that Microsoft believe is needed)

Did you read this guide, it helps a LOT

@mitu , thank you for your reply.
There is no specific problem, just trying to increase my knowledge about how does the retropie_setup script works.
      =)

@BuZz , thank you. I'll try it! I believe this should also work for the other piece of codes. ;)

@Trailjacker , I'm happy my question was useful in you scenario.

      Thank you guys!

@mrkane If you don't follow the forum's rules, then - yes - this will result in a ban. It's not that difficult to understand.

As far as your problem - your system doesn't seem to be connected to the internet. How did you configure your RPI for network access ? Assuming you're talking about WiFI, then read https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Wifi/ and perform the steps listed there to get your PI connected to the internet.
