      If SNES runs at 10 FPS on a Zero, I wouldn't be surprised if N64 emulation set it on fire.

      You can run SNES using the older snes9x cores and performance is acceptable as long as you aren't trying to run superfx games. Even psx performance on the pi zero is not bad using the standalone emulator.

      @KN4THX said in lr-Stella on Pi Zero W?:

      @chubsta It runs pretty good for my tastes. I built a Pi-Cart with the PiZW and it ran Atari up to the Super NES/Genesis era just fine. The rom lists/artwork seem to lag a little with but with a lighter theme that can be just fine.

      Thanks very much, I'll get one ordered!

      It was the bloody power source! I didn't bother hooking it up to a decent power brick because I figured the Pi zero didn't need as much juice as my Pi 3... Idiot... Thanks for your inputs guys.

      Solid One

      Try gpsp's non-retroarch version. With this version, you'll probably have less lag on GBA games, since it consumes less resources than the default retroarch version.

      I've tested this version on a Raspberry Pi 1 B+, and I remember playing some GBA games without lag. It was on 2015, and back then, if my memory serves, there was no lr-gpsp yet.

      I don't know if it'll work on your Pi Zero, but assuming Pi Zero and Pi 1 has approximately the same hardware, there's the chance that it can work.

      @madmodder123 no. Rpi update isn't really recommended unless you know what you're doing/have a specific use case as it can cause bugs. If one wants to start with stretch they'll need to flash the latest beta then just update from the setup script/ normal raspbian packages

      @zerd_sword hi!

      I have this very same issue with a recent purchase.

      Got a RPi Zero W v1.1 and Retropie hangs after a while. It occurs while emulating SNES and NES (the only ones I tested), copying data via samba, browsing scraped metadata, and even while sitting idle on the ES screen. It seems random but it appears to happen after the system is warmed up, although I removd the official case I got to no avail.

      I only have the one so I have no means to verify other board does work indeed, so I was wondering whether you figured out how to identify the faulty hardware. Was there anything different on the new one? Different manufacturer maybe?

      Here's a picture of my board printed data: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iSIXzlZtVigopNxecTbHC9xb4ylrXizs/view?usp=drivesdk

      If you have any info, please advise.

      Thanks!
