control quickmenu with the same button as in emulation station

Hi,
when a user changed button only for an emulator sometimes its difficult to control the quick menu. is it possible to use the same buttons in the quick menu that are used to control emulation station and not the buttons that are mapped for the emulator?

@Maynard your question indicates that you didn't map the core specific button configs usinf the core input remapping method.
Reset the changes you made and remap using that method. I think it'll make you happy. ;-)
