      I was able to edit the file to "true" and I have the hi-res packets but I am unable to find the location to where to put them. Everyone says "/home/pi/.local/share/mupen64plus/hires_texture/". I am unable to find this through my windows computer. I tried filezilla but it doesn't even find the pi. Where and how do I access /home/pi/.local/share/mupen64plus/hires_texture/" so I can load the packets?

      Edit: I was finally able to connect to my PI through filezilla and locate the directory.

        I edited the content of your other thread into this one. In the future, keep in mind that you can simply respond to your original comment if you want to update others to your situation.

          Turns out I still need help. I have the spot where I thought the packets were to go and the packets. When I drop them in using filezilla I do not see any difference. Am I supposed to extract them then put them on? There is no explanation on line or in any you tube videos. It is just get the "/home/pi/.local/share/mupen64plus/hires_texture/" directory and seems about it.

          in the hires_texture do I need to make a separate folder for each game? Do I put the zipped file or the extracted file in it? Sorry for the confusion and thank your in advanced for any help.

            Hi,

            Just looking at my setup in Filezilla:

            0_1494663750660_hiresfolder.jpg

            You extract each pack into its own folder under hires_texture named with the ROM header name (instructions are in the wiki for how to obtain the name).

            I also added the following section to the mupen64plus.cfg file so I could use them with the Rice decoder (as for some reason mine keeps setting the Glide option back to False on every startup).

            [Video-Rice]
            LoadHiResTextures = True

              I've been having this same problem since about January. @administrators is this a problem we need to open with mupen or is this the retropie side?
