The problem I am having is unpacking the .pak, I have no clue how to do it. I noticed when I put the .pak file into the program folder for roms, I just get a black screen and it goes to the main menu. Any ideas?

I am running retropie 4.2 (From Retropie site), a raspberry pi 3, a snes controller on a mayflash adapter and I used what it had said in the guide for openbor on your site and RPi, 2.5 amp plug, also The game that I tried to load was Marvel Infinity War V1.12. It had loaded fine without any .pak files in it (Edit: (in the rom folder)).

      Any help would be great.

Sorry, I'm fairly new at this. Do I put in what it says on the retropie site for openbor instructions on command prompt and it unpacks itself onto the pi? Confused.

It's been just a little less than 24 hours since you asked your question. Please understand that OpenBOR is not one of the most installed ports in RetroPie and as such, there are a limited number of people able to answer you.

(I think you probably already did this but) to unpack the .pak files you'll need to put them in /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/openbor and then run /opt/retropie/ports/openbor/extract.sh like in the docs here:
              https://retropie.org.uk/docs/OpenBOR/

I just get a black screen and it goes to the main menu.

The version of OpenBOR is an older port (v3.0 Build 3016 I believe) that's not compatible with most of the current .pak versions. If you can find .pak files that are built using this older version then you might be able to get them to work. I personally haven't had much luck so I don't really have advice on how to get it to work.

Another option is to use the DOS version of OpenBOR and run it through Dosbox:

Here is also more information about OpenBOR:

I'm sorry for the silly question, but how can i run extract.sh? It is supposed to be show somewhere on ES? On Ports section i can only see "OpenBOR - Beats of Rage Engine"

@darishzone You must run it from the command line, outside of Emulationstation or from a SSH login session.
