      I'm making a retropie project and I've done everything except sound. I followed the tutorial for sound output here: http://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=539. I've made sure that all the wiring is correct but the speaker wont output sound. The headphone jack works but i get nothing through the speaker. I'm not sure what other info to post so ask me anything to help with troubleshooting. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

        @Healy_um Ok, here's my question(s):

        Would you please post everything required from THIS LINK. That way, we can make informed suggestions.

            @Healy_um Ok, well, now that I reviewed, I doubt this is a retropie software issue. You are getting sound through the jack which kinda proves audio it is working. On your link, pop open the breadboard section and you can see that post says to follow the Chiz guide. I am thinking you followed that, or your custom jack would not have audio. I took a look and it seems to be accurate for what I have seen and done in the past to get USB audio working.

            I would say your problem is either 1. something is wired wrong or shorting, 2. you have a bad hardware component (broken wire, bad solder joint, bad potentiometer, bad speaker etc.). I would followup on the SudoMod forum, as they have you following a bunch of wiring diagrams that are obviously beyond the scope of RetroPie. Perhaps Chiz can advise you, as you are following his/her guide. But retracing your steps or testing circuit continuity from solder point to point might be the key, especially since you are saying the headphone jack works.

            It looks like a fun project. I'd like to see pictures of your build progress.

              Okay, I'll go through and check all my wiring and soldering. Hopefully it's just that. I've tried with 2 different speakers now, so I don't think it's that. I'll try different wires maybe. I've posted on the SudoMod forum too, so I'll hopefully get a response there too.
              Yeah, It's pretty fun, and frustrating XD I've never done much with hardware before so it's a challenge! Once It's all done I'll probably make a post about it, and I'll link it here :)
