      Hello

I'd like to be able to run Kodi from an SSH command once RetroPie has booted up. This is because I only have wired controllers and I want to be able to turn the Pi on from my phone (my phone can turn on the power) then use a Tasker button to run Kodi, then use Yatse. I tried this by typing kodi and this seemed to work but as soon as I shut the SSH client the screen went blank. If I open it up again and type emulationstation then close it down once RetroPie is on the screen, it goes blank again. This happens both on Juice SSH on android and Putty on windows. Am I doing something wrong?

      Thanks

Workaround : you configure retropie to boot to kodi : https://retropie.org.uk/docs/FAQ/#how-do-i-boot-to-the-desktop-or-kodi

@Sano thanks I did see this when googling for an answer but I think I'll still use retropie more so would prefer to boot to retropie. Do you know if there is a solution? I'm not experienced with Linux so I'm probably missing something obvious!

You can use the virtual gamepad:
