Input for specific ROM not working

@mediamogul
Ok so I reset the Doom (USA).sfc.cfg to have all the defaults, and now the PS button (the button with the Playstation Logo on it) is moving the character to the right. WHAT IS WRONG YOU CURSED CFG FILES -
Ha! Well, that is strange. What happens when you delete
~/RetroPie/roms/snes/Doom (USA).sfc.cfg
outright? -

Am I correct in assuming that this is only happening in your SNES emulator and that it started when you tried to remap 'Doom'?

No it is not working in other games/emulators. Are there other logs other than ~/.emulationstation/es_log.txt
-
There's
/dev/shm/runcommand.log
. You'll want to use the runcommand menu to enable 'Launch with verbose logging' to get the most information possible. -
@mediamogul
Well here is some useful info (maybe)
EDIT: Check link again more detailed log now :) -
Nothing that I see. Unfortunately these kinds of issues don't usually present themselves there. Can you post the contents of
/opt/retropie/configs/snes/retroarch.cfg
? -
@mediamogul look at link again

?Settings made here will only override settings in the global retroarch.cfg if placed above the #include line
input_remapping_directory = "/opt/retropie/configs/snes/"
input_player1_analog_dpad_mode = "1"
input_overlay = ""
#include "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg" -
OK, it seems to still be loading the Doom config file.
RetroArch [INFO] :: Config: appending config "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/snes/Doom (USA).sfc.cfg"
Is this another attempt you've made or is it the original?

This is another attempt.

Deleting that file should at least put the controls back inline with the defaults. It's bizarre that it doesn't, but I'm sure it's all related. I'm afraid I'm out of ideas for the time being. I'll keep thinking on it though.

Alright my PS4 controller is all screwed up on the menu now too. I'm going to be and will figure this out tommorow
-
@abrad1212 apologies for asking, but what happens if you do re-configure the controls in emulationstation?
Could it be that the original settings are messed up and that's what's causing this across all emulators?
I didn't seem to find the details on what was failing with the original controls setup that caused you to have to manually edit the configurations?

Yeah I actually remapped the controller and that is what screwed up the controls on the main menu. So the menu controls are working now.

@mediamogul When I change the controls in Sony_Computer_Entertainment_Wireless_Controller.cfg it changes the controls in games, but doesn't change the controls for the menu so I think that is good.
