      Hi Guys.
I'm having trouble getting playstation games to boot. I am using raspberry pi 3b with retropie 4.2 and the psx bios SCPH1001.BIN in the proper bios folder.

The roms I am using are .bin followed by their repective .cue file and I'm also using .pbp

Is there any pre-configuration setting that I'm missing.
I thought that running playstation 1 games was straight forward.!

        @Robotechvfx

Just to be clear, which emulator are you using?

        RetroPie v4.5 • RPi3 Model B • 5.1V 2.5A PSU • 16GB SanDisk microSD • 512GB External Drive

          Hi @mediamogul.
I believe I'm using the default one lr-pcsx-rearmed. I think that everything is default. I haven't tampered with this screen.

Didn't do any configuration on the psx side so I think I'm using the default.
Is there any setup that I missed?

@Robotechvfx Try renaming the actual files without any spaces. Just a thought. Also the majority of your ROMs seem to be owned by root. This could be your issue, owner should be pi. Did you create the .pbpfiles yourself?

@AlexMurphy I didn't create the .pbp roms they were from a playstation romset.
Also the bin files should be usable because they have their .cue file.
I'll see if I can change the other roms ownership to pi, although Destruction Derby is own by pi and it still doesn't.
I'll try anything at this point.

@Robotechvfx I understand. I'm really just throwing ideas out there for you to try. Also try deleting the BIOS or adding a different one. You never know. My .pbp files work fine. They were obtained as EBOOT files, did yours come the same way?

@AlexMurphy Yes they did. I didn't convert them and it's not a file ownership issue.
It was the bios the old bios I was using SCPH1001.BIN. And downloaded the same one from a trusty website and voilá problem solved.
Thanks for the brainstorming @AlexMurphy. it really helped.
