      Kodi refuses to install for me, not being a remotely tech savvy individual I have tried my best to remedy the issue by doing simple things such as updating all my packages, disconnecting and connecting wifi, etc. but nothing has worked. I am capable of doing what I'm told though so any help you give me I will attempt to execute to the best of my ability!
      Thanks!
      Chris

        Hmm, I'm not a Linux person, but I can see that the programmers have put in a few hidden bits to help.
        Try typingapt-get -f installinto the command line by pressing F4 on your keyboard.

              I have the same problem and ran the command line you suggested and got the following....
              E: Could not open lock file/var/lib/dokg/lock - open (13: Permission denied)
              E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpky/), are you root?

              Any idea what I am doing wrong?

                @mfergu32 Try sudo apt-get -f install
                You just need to give it root permissions which is what adding sudo does.
                I don't think this will help though as I think policykit was taken off the rasbian repository.
