Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 3
      Power Supply used: 2500ma canakit
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): Retropie 4.2
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: Ps3 Sync Cable
      Controller used: Ps3 SixAxis
      Error messages received:
      Parameters:
      Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/mupen64plus/bin/mupen64plus.sh mupen64plus-video-GLideN64 "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/n64/Super Mario 64 (USA).z64" 320x240
      /opt/retropie/emulators/mupen64plus/bin/mupen64plus.sh: line 302: 25020 Segmentation fault SDL_VIDEO_RPI_SCALE_MODE=1 "$rootdir/emulators/mupen64plus/bin/mupen64plus" --noosd --windowed $RES --rsp ${RSP_PLUGIN}.so --gfx ${VIDEO_PLUGIN}.so --audio ${AUDIO_PLUGIN}.so --configdir "$configdir/n64" --datadir "$configdir/n64" "$ROM"

Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant):
      Parameters:
      Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/mupen64plus/bin/mupen64plus.sh mupen64plus-video-GLideN64 "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/n64/Super Mario 64 (USA).z64" 320x240
      /opt/retropie/emulators/mupen64plus/bin/mupen64plus.sh: line 302: 25020 Segmentation fault SDL_VIDEO_RPI_SCALE_MODE=1 "$rootdir/emulators/mupen64plus/bin/mupen64plus" --noosd --windowed $RES --rsp ${RSP_PLUGIN}.so --gfx ${VIDEO_PLUGIN}.so --audio ${AUDIO_PLUGIN}.so --configdir "$configdir/n64" --datadir "$configdir/n64" "$ROM"

      Emulator: mupen64plus
Attachment of config files: Stock Default
      How to replicate the problem:
Replicated on a brand new image. Burned fresh image. Enabled SSH, Installed PS3 driver, Uploaded test rom launched game Super Mario 64 game boots fine. Updated Retropie Setup, Manage Packages, Install mupen64plus from source, wait till complete, reboot, launch test game game exits back to emulation station.

lr-parallel works fine tried changing the video mode to a few different options all cause segmentation error.

Which is unfortunate because updating from source fixes an issue where mupen64plus.cfg overwrites itself, as I tested later but breaks core functionality.

@DJKatastrof No - update just mupen64plus from source from manage packages -> main packages.
