Help Requested - PlayStation Move Setup
-
Hello everyone.
For the past couple of months, I've been tinkering with my new Retropie 4.2 (Raspberry Pi 3) setup, install ROMs, tweaking settings, trying new themes and reliving the past. Usually, I'm pretty good at figuring things out, but this one has left me stumped: setting up a pair of PlatStation Move controllers primarily for light guns games.
A little background. Currently, I've tested and configured four PS3 DualShock controllers, all of which ran with no real issues. The reason I went with the PS Move mainly had to do with what I thought was ease of compatibility (I knew the PS3 controllers were notorious for playing nice with other Bluetooth controllers). After a bit of searching on the forums to no avail, I discovered a site showcasing PS Move on a Linux platform.
This is the link in question: https://thp.io/2010/psmove/
Seeing as this could be my answer, I followed the instructions (specifically the Ubuntu instructions) and made sure I had all the right equipment (PS Move as well as an PS Eye USB camera to track the sphere). However, as of writing this, I'm still not connecting with my PS Move on my Raspberry Pi. I'm still learning a lot when it comes Linux, so if it's something basic I'm missing, please be gentle.
This isn't a dire emergency, but has anyone have anyone here had any success and/shortcoming when attempting to set up a PS Move? Would I be better sticking with these or just trade it in for Wii U Pros and Wiimotes (again, to avoid any potential cross ups in brands)?
Any insight given here would most welcome.

Ok, a brief update so far.
After setting up the installation for psmoveapi (using the Ubuntu instructions from the PDF), I was able to successfully pair both PS Move controller on the Raspberry Pi 3 using its onboard Bluetooth adapter.
I also set up another installation of psmoveinput (https://github.com/MooseTheBrown/psmoveinput) and, through a bit of trial and error, got both controllers lit and calibrated.
I haven't figured out setting up the button inputs yet, nor being able to translate it in a way Retropie can understand, but hey, a step forward. :)
