      Hi,

      Is it possible to install RetroPie on Debian Jessie?

      amd64, 8GB RAM, NVidia GTX1050, 4 k monitor could be a problem?
      I can not compile RetroArch.:

      LD retroarch
      /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lEGL
      collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
      Makefile:151: recipe for target 'retroarch' failed
      make: *** [retroarch] Error 1

      Google was not my friend.
      Has anyone succeeded?

      I tried for 6 hours without much of a result.

      (The problem is I do get the the slick interface, but can not play games, and that is quit frustrating!)

        @John-Smith3 emulationstation doesn't work with 4k monitors, you have to force it to display 1920x1080 eg:

        emulationstation --windowed 1920 1080

        Though it won't really matter if you have wrong ROMs or couldn't compile everything in the first place

          No it does not work. Thanks anyhow.
          Could not successfully build retroarch - RetroArch -frontend to the libretro emulator cores - required by all lr-* emulators
          (/home/RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/retroarch/retroarch not found).

          the problems is retroarch, I spend 6 hours on that
          gives an idea how much i want retropie
