Didn't achieve much last night. Some wiring is run not much. Ruined 2 charging circuits now instead of an 8000mah battery it's going to be a 12000mah battery because I need to buy another charging circuit.

Also got to thinking about the dvd drive and figured I don't need the full drive just the essentials.

Update: Family is gone and now I've been able to make some more progress.

-Shell has been cut to allow for the screen to be mounted.
          -Screen has been mounted
-Had to move the lcd driver to line up with the ribbon cable
-Batteries soldered and installed and some more wiring done

Still lots to do but it's getting there!

Been awhile since I've posted any updates. Sorry been settling into the new house. PSU is installed, waiting on my LIPO charger to get here as well as some other goodies. Now to figure out how to make emulators pull straight from the disc

@soulgriever I don't think RetroPie (EmulationStation) supports running games off a disc. You'll have to put it on the SD Card or put it on a flash drive.

"What do you play games on?"
                  "A LEGO brick."
                  "LEGO What?

@allanbuzzy There are emulators that support disk drives (not sure about the ones in retropie) but I don't believe that it would be of benefit on something like the pi, I feel like it would run even slower through emulation so your load times may be longer than the original game provided he gets it to run.

@herb_fargus i use two disk drives and a floppy drive on dosbox. Not sure of others that do. Does daphne on the pi have cd and rs-232 laserdisc support? Would have been cool if the sega cd and pc engine cd emulators had cd support like the emulators on the xbox did.

Been awhile since I've updated on this project. Ran into some hiccups and progress has slowed. The dvd drive was unstable as it wasn't getting enough power, adding a powered usb hub and a separate power supply to help with this. However unless I get help from a programmer I dont think Ill be getting it to play PS1 discs anytime soon, However I can still save the disc to ram or sd card so not completely useless. I recently got my psx->usb adapter soldered in would rather go gpio but couldn't get it to work.

Purchased an arduino nano to make ORIGINAL psx memory cards hopefully run on the pi.
