Neo Geo X Build

Ruckage said he will create a generic Arcade system for this theme. The thing is, he is busy with updating his other theme (Snes-Mini) which is very popular and requests from various people keep coming in that he doesn't have much time to spend on this great NeoGeo theme.
And of course now we all are or should be busy with family and other private things especially in times like these considering that Christmas is just around the corner. ;-)Just be patient it will come.
My question was more aimed at @Stuart2773 since he already has one done.

Il probably just stick to Neogeo and CPS games in the long run.
4-3 CRT TV.
16-9 HDMI TV.

Hey everyone, forgive me if this has been asked before, but would this support video snaps? (ps, whether it does or doesn't it's stinking slick looking. Great work)

@skainlurmis yes,
All the games I have added include videos. Each video sample is around 2 minutes long on each game selection.

Hi everyone,
I just found this topic 1 week ago. I made some custom categories on this theme and I have some questions.
But, first of all, BIG THANKS to the author for his work !!!! This theme is soooo amazing !!! I got a NeoGeo X dock and it is the perfect theme for this !
Now, this is the problem i have : I made these categories : arcade-fighting, arcade-shmup, arcade-misc, configuration (it contains customs scripts to change/load gamepad configurations), (+ neogeo, capcom, retropie). When i use all these categories at the same time, it seems EmulationStation can't follow.
I got a black screen instead the background.png or the background is flashing all the time. The mask is flashing all the time too. Is it a problem of memory with ES ? or did I make a mistake ?To create a new category, I just copy an original one (neogeo) and I changed the *.png files.
For info, this is my config : Fresh Retropie installation (4.3) on a Raspberry Pi 3. memory_slit : 256.
For the author, I don't know if I can share my work on your theme (disclamer in readme) but if you are interested, I can upload it.

So I dug my neogeo stick it out of the closet to see if I can mod it and not feel like crap. I found out you can. I own the PS3 Neogeo Stick 2 licensed by SNK but the mod should work on original and Neogeo X sticks.
Now it feels good. I replaced the buttons with sanwa 24mm. While they do snap in, they don't sit flush. They don't fall out but I'll hotglue them in the future just in case. I wanted grey to match the originals but sanwa doesn't produce them in 24mm. The ball top I replaced with a red sanwa bat top I had lying around. I also wasn't satisfied with the original spring since it wouldn't center the stick correctly. I bought a seimitsu ls-56 spring, it's a tiny bit stronger and hardly noticeable but it does the job to keep the stick centered.

Well done!
Sanwa doesn't have the screw type buttons in 24mm? Those should fit nicely. These here I mean.
Red would match too. -
@flyingtomahawk Not in white, and white was my second choice over grey. Some have gone with the arcade look of red, yellow, green, blue but I just don't prefer them. It's all good. It's enjoyable now.

The theme isn't particularly user friendly as the way I created it you would have to add your own Capcom system to retropie (it was made before custom collections were added to ES).
However if you only plan to add capcom games to the FBA rom folder the easiest way to make the theme work for you is to go into the neogeo theme directory and you will see a folder named 'capcom'. Rename that folder to 'fba' and it should work. Hope that makes sense.
-
@ruckage ok thank you i'll give that a shot
-
@ruckage i kind of wanted to use the fba on its own at some point because you said you were going to add one more arcade theme for everything else anyway anyone can do a step by step on how to set up the cps system
-
Finally getting into the home stretch for the modifications/customizations of @ruckage 's neo-geo theme for our full sized mvs cabinet.
-
@ruckage what file is it and how do i adjust centering of retropie section icons?
