Newbie - Help

Hi,
Having been totally baffled by the idea of building my own retropie, I bought one pre loaded etc.
I love it but have 4 issues that I need my hand holding with..
-
Zx Spectrum - Can't exit a game back to the main menu. Don't want to be unplugging without shutting down. The videos I can find online have an emulator with an on screen keyboard, mine doesn't seem to have this
-
MAME. Few games don't seem to work (vigilante, tecmo soccer 90, tapper). Is there an issue with these roms? I have found the roms online, how do i switch them?
-
Graphics, read about some kind of filter that recreates the old style TV monitors. No idea how to use them
-
Most importantly, bought this for the amiga games. They all load up ok, but the joystick just won't work. Doesn't recognise it at all yet it works fine on all other machine emulators MAME, megadrive, spectrum etc
Any help greatly appreciated

If you paid for retropie you've been swindled. We don't support 3rd party images

@jetsetwilly1976 Really? You bought an imaged card? Please never do that!

Sorry, go on, explain?

RetroPie is free and not as difficult to setup to setup as you might imagine. Many of it's components are protected by non-commercial licenses, so it's also illegal to sell. Also, based on your comments, what you bought was pre-loaded with pirated games which should be obviously illegal to anyone. We cannot support your device for all of those reasons, plus the fact that it's been configured by an unknown source, so there's no way of telling what any of your issues could be. If you want help here, you'll have to download and install a fresh copy of RetroPie from this site.

Ah ok, thanks fair enough. Although I would imagine that most people downloading roms are also using illegal downloads. But I take your point. I just know that it is way beyond my programming capabilities (zero) and was desperate to play the retro games beyond the few emulators I have on my laptop. Having looked on a few threads, it seems there is a universal issue with joypads on this Amiga emulator so I will have to stick to playing those games on the laptop. Thanks

That may be, but there are in fact legal ways to obtain ROMs that vary depending on where you live. Regardless, selling someone else's intellectual property should never be encouraged.

And the fact that most amiga roms are of the cracked games, not the originals!!!
Hay ho, will just have to enjoy the other emulators/games.
Thanks for explaining

The originals are out there. I have a friend with an amazing collection of original boxed Amiga games. He's imaged many of them to run on his more modern devices like the Raspberry Pi and they perform very well.
Thanks for explaining
Not a problem.
