i am at a loss here. i have deleted the mapper file and told the dosbox conf file to use a differnt one. it creates a new one. when i hit ctrl + f1 it is defaulted back to an old map file. first question i have is who is supposed to own the pc config files, pi or root? second does anybody have a clue where it might be loading the mapper from? it keeps saving old map settings into the new mapper file. just not sure where its loading this old file from. any help is appreciated

i think i figured it out. i am trying to use a ps2 controller. i think it has been assigning the wrong controller to p1 and p2. i have it working if i get it to assign the order correctly. i believe it always assigns correctly if i wait until emulationstation to boot before i press the analog button on the ps2 controller it works properly.
