Update failing?
-
Twice today I tried to update my retropie installation using the "update all installed packages" option, and twice it gave me a bunch of input/output errors and then EXT4 errors?
I pulled the USB and reinserted it, and my installation was still ok, but I updated a couple of days ago and it was fine?
Is there something up with my SD card, or is there a problem with the update itself?
Cheers

@StuMcBill give this a try, pull your USB stick out and then exit emulationstation. Update from the command line and see if it works. With all the new updates and larger themes many of us have had issues with updates, but as long as you exit emulationstation, they run fine.

@StuMcBill did you choose to update retropie setup first?

Actually I have seen people complain of this issue on some other forums or other posts on this forum. Does Retropie still have some bugs to work out for now?

What's the commands? Sudo apt get-update?
Yeah, updated the script first.
As I say, I have updated this card previously over the past few days and it's been fine.

Turns out it was (for some reason) having my USB keyboard connected that was causing it to fail? Very odd.
It sometimes refuses took start if the keyboard is connected too?
Any ideas?

Actually, its still not working?!
I'm getting Input/output errors when its running mkdir?
Very odd.
