Is there any interest in adding an emulator for something like the Tapwave Zodiac? or any Palm OS? some of the games look fun.
-
@morrisav10 I don't know. You could try adding a new thread, I don't know that many people will see your proposal here.

@hex Are you still actively working on this? I remember reading about this a few months ago and I just found it again.
I'm gonna try installing this after work, is there a compatibility list somewhere? If not, roughly what percent of games work? -
@madmodder123 I couldn't find any compatiability lists, but the closest thing is the GitHub issues page. In my testing, around 60% of games worked, 10% booted but exhibit graphical issues, and 30% boot to a black/white screen.
As for work, the GitHub hasn't been updated since February, so hex is probably busy with IRL stuff.Never mind, there's still some commits happening! -
@recompile is working on it whenever he gets time

J2ME had some good games back in the day, especially tower defense. I would consider the J2ME version of Final Fantasy Crystal Defenders to be the definitive version even though it's been on lots of platforms including Android. There's also some other forgotten J2ME stuff like Doom RPG and Orcs and Elves that are kind of forgotten which it'd be nice to see again.

For those of you looking for an easy way to install the libretro core, I've created a script in RetroPie-Extra for it: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/zerojay/RetroPie-Extra/master/scriptmodules/libretrocores/lr-freej2me.sh
Some of the first games I ever worked on were these J2ME games and it's been fun to play them again a bit.
