      Hey all -

So I have had a setup that's been great and working well for months. Something happened where all of a sudden, it's not finding a lot of the dependencies needed to run RetroPie. From what I can tell I removed another program that, in the process, removed dependencies that other programs used(namely RetroPie).

My setup is on a 1TB PiDrive and it's nearly full. Scraped, themed, everything just how I want it.

What would be the best way to reinstall RetroPie and NOT lose those things?

I basically just want to overwrite the system files, not the roms folder and such. I cannot SSH in as that is one of the dependencies that was deleted.

As stated in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first please do not bump threads.

That being said, I assume you are being dropped to the console. Plug a USB keyboard in and try:

          cd RetroPie-Setup
          sudo ./retropie_setup.sh

Select Basic install to reinstall all base software.
then Update all installed packages to update to the latest versions of all packages installed.

This should reinstall / update all necessary software.

So I haven't gotten this working.

When I boot up, it shows things like...

            SSH: Process Not Found

Then it gets into a ZMAP process that I cannot get out of so I am not able to run sudo apt-get update.

Where are the files for the processes like SSH found in the folder hierarchy?

            Thanks!
