Pi Model or other hardware: Pi3
Power Supply used: Canabit Power Supply
      RetroPie Version Used 4.2
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: Keyboard, Mayflash N64 Adaptor
      Controller used: Original N64 Controller

      Hello All,
I have been struggling for the past week to get the Mayflash N64 controller adaptor to work with Retropie. I was finally able to map the controller in the game after updating with new config files from previous posts found on this site. The problem I am running into is as follows:
Retropie recognizes the Mayflash N64 adaptor as '?USB GamePad USB GamePad.cfg' The problem I am running into is with the joystick peaks values. I simply want to adjust them in the retroarch joystick configs so that I can get Mario to run at full tilt etc. I am unable to navigate to this file to edit the config though. Presumeably the ? is causing the problems and I receive the following error.

'USB GamePad USB GamePad.cfg' pi@retropie:/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads $ cd /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads pi@retropie:/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads $ cat 'USB GamePad USB GamePad.cfg' cat: USB GamePad USB GamePad.cfg: No such file or directory pi@retropie:/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads $ cat '?USB GamePad USB GamePad.cfg' cat: ?USB GamePad USB GamePad.cfg: No such file or directory pi@retropie:/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads $

I feel like I am very close to getting the controller to actually work...but I am stuck at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
