@davemarianne Since there is nothing displayed on the screen, but the RPi has LEDs flashing. It could be:

        1. HDMI cable - use a different one and reboot.
        2. Display - try it on an another video display (HDMI TV, PC monitor, etc...)

What does "switch power lead" mean?

If this means you turn off your hardware with a switch then you are probably corrupting the card.

@rbaker I have a USB cable with a switch on it? Is there another way to turn it off?

@davemarianne By turning the power off to a Raspberry Pi, you stand a good chance of corrupting the SD card. The Pi does not have an off switch. It must be shut down in software using the Linux command line. There are many hardware solutions on the market to provide safe shutdown of the Pi. I use the software feature of Emulationstation in the Quit menu where you can select shutdown. Only then can you turn off the power.

@rbaker agree that is how I shutdown first then turn the power off.

@davemarianne Have you tried the following?

                  1. HDMI cable - use a different one and reboot.
                  2. Display - try it on an another video display (HDMI TV, PC monitor, etc...)

@ortsac I can not believe it. Use another monitor works fine.
                    Thanks everyone for your help.
