Can anyone HELP! me place these ROM'S in their correct location?

I have installed a fresh copy of RetroPie v4.2 on to my Raspberry Pi 3. When I access it over network to transfer ROM'S that I have in my PC, I don't see some of the ROMS folders in my RetropPie v4.2 :( Can anyone help me where to place my PC ROMS into my RetroPie v4.2? Please be very, very specific I'm new to this. I have seen youtube videos but no one explaining how. ETA Prime for example has his: CPS1, CPS2, and CPS3 separated nicely, but he does not show how he did it

I have uploaded an image detailing my situation. I would gladly appreciate anyone helping me out. You don't know how much this would mean to me. Thanks!

@martinrdgz It looks like DOSBox is not enabled for you. Once you enable it, the PC directory should show up. I believe the path is RetroPie Setup --> Manage Packages -- > Manage Optional Packages. Hope that helps.

You need

A theme that support this:
- I recommend ComicBook @TMNTturtlguy
- I recommend Maximus Pie @dmmarti
As an alternative you can change a theme to fit yourselfs system by adding own graphics to it ... that's the masters way
Do some edit to es_systems.cfg via SSH or by connecting Keyboard to your Pie

Do you think you can manage this? If you are new to Linux then please be aware not do damage system!

All I want to know is where to place the pc roms into the retropi that's it. for example if I create a CPS1 folder in my retropie and place roms there it won't work. This is now bout themes. Do I have to install a CPS 1 emulator in my retropie in order for a CPS1 folder to appear?

If you can't read any instructions then you are here on the wrong place, mate!

Your roms in CPS1 for ex can't be found by Emulation Station because they are not configured via es_systems.cfg

@martinrdgz when you say pc roms, that suggests that you are trying to emulate a pc. Are you actually asking where to place roms for other systems? Or how to place them? both these are covered in the detailed manual provided. Your reference to cps suggests that you need to read more through the documentation regarding Arcade emulation?

@rbaker My bad, when I say PC roms I'm not meaning that I'm trying to emulate a PC. I all I mean is that I have my roms from an image of a retropie and that now I'm stuck figuring out where to place them on my freshly installed Retropie in my raspberry pi 3

I really don't wan to get anyone upset or angry I'm just struggling figuring this out. I hope you all don't take it the wrong way. I'm sorry that I'm a newbie

@martinrdgz you place them in exactly the folders that match the emulators. The docs detail the best ways to achieve this. I use SSH and drag and drop. The problem you have is that you have gaps in your understanding of the Arcade side of all this so the docs must be studied. The systems you describe are in folders on your pc because the creator of the image that you used placed them that way. CPS refers to Capcom rom sets from various points in history. The problem is that you probably don't know what romset you have and there in lies the problem. Arcade emulation requires a specific romset depending on the emulator you choose. Fba, mame etc. Trial and error will destroy your mind. Read the Arcade section, it's pretty clear and come back if you have any questions. If you must though, place all the cps roms in the Arcade folder and choose final burn alpha to test them out. If you have no luck, you need to acquire the correct roms for the emulators available to you.

@martinrdgz That's okay but you see it's not easy to set it up because it depends

on a ready setted es_systems.cfg to locate your roms by Emulation Station
you need a theme that can show the systems (otherwise there is just a white space or some graphics that is not related to your emulated system)

@rbaker Sorry to be rude now, but please tell him why a created folder... maybe CPS1 won't show up in ES. Then you can tell what is a romset and after that you can tell how to establish ssh and then you can tell how to edit some files....

I wouldn't try to set up any themes at all until you have a working setup. What you are doing right now will not help you play cps roms. If you have read all that, now read all this:

Next setup the es_systems

Best is to copy the whole <arcade> part and rename it to <cps1>

But please read the links I've posted ... they contain essential info. You will surly made it.
Excuse me @rbaker but step by step is better maybe the romset is good and there will be no error. But at first point he will need access to CPS files.

I read the information given, but mostly didn't comprehend anything on it :( But what I've learned is that roms have a version number, and I need to place them with an emulator that plays those rom versions for example mame4all plays roms that have a version 0.37b5. So now my question is what versions are my cps1, cps2, and cps3 can you help me.

Note: The Roms that are on my PC were extracted from the Rey's Image. I'm building my own image for myself.
