Getting TI99 to work on Raspberry Pi 3...
-
Hi Everyone,
This topic has been explored on this and other sites, but it seems to be most often discussed for Raspberry Pi 1 and 2. I have a Raspberry Pi 3, and I've installed the experimental module Ti99sim. However, I am still not getting the TI99 emulator launch icon on my home screen. Anyone know how to get this module working? TI99 was has some of my favorite retro games of all time, so I hope some of you know how to navigate this issue. Here is a link to the Pi that I bought so that you can see exactly what I'm working with. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTIV8H5/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Perhaps you can ask the seller why the image he is illegally selling is not working.
from the read me first page that you agreed to read before posting
Make sure you are using an official image, or have done a manual install yourself. We will not support 3rd party images.

The image works fine. All my emulators are working fine. IT seems that the TI99 was not included...and why are you saying it was free? Do you mean pee-installed?

@herb_fargus I did read the "read this first" post. I am not aware that selling the pie pre-installed with retropie WAS illegal.

@herb_fargus Look...I don't want to do anything illegal. Can I do a fresh install of retropie at this point and then you will help me if the issue still exist?

Hi @KevinsHope
Follow the instructions on Retropie.org.uk to download and install the official image to an SD card.
Once you have an official image installed, try it again and see whether it now works.
