on my raspberry pi playstation i updated to 4.2.12 today and all of a sudden the second controller port is js0. so to go into any setup stuff i have to use the second controller port. it is a 2 port usb adapter in a clear blue case. i am going to have to rewire my two controller ports if i cant find a solution.

Am wondering if this is related to the issue I chimed in on here...

Seems we are experiencing some similar things, perhaps?

Yeah. The biggest annoyance is that I can't press "A" when launching ROMs to set rom-specific settings. :(

@mrpotato plug in two controllers and see if the second controller works.

@lostless i was going to try to warn you but apparently you have already done it. Its weird that the correct controller is js0 but js1 is used for everything linux-ish

@edmaul69 yep. Tad late. I'm sure it'll be fixed. Maybe. Until then I'll just use a ps3 controller.

Does the PS3 controller not have the same issue?

@mrpotato no, the PS3 controller via Bluetooth is working just fine.
