I recently saw a DIY on how to put a RP Zero in an NES cart and wondered if I could do the same, but with an SNES cart instead. I also use a wireless Xbox 360 adapter for my controllers and wanted to incorporate that as well. Below is what I came up with. There were a few minor things that needed to be done to make this happen. I needed to remove some plastic bits (wire cutters and a small file), epoxy some screws and mounting areas, crack open and shorten the Xbox 360 adapter, and remove shielding from a couple cords to make the bends I needed easier. The front label I came up with uses a few images found in the Retropie splashscreens. The holes you see on the back are for syncing Xbox 360 controllers and the status LED. The only downside is that there isn't an extra USB input, but I currently have a bluetooth keyboard connected so hopefully that will be good enough.
