ROM issues - can't see new, and the existing indicating retroarch not found
-
Hello group!
Just recently bought a new Pi kit via Amazon. Pi3, with a 2.5A power supply and a 32GB flash. Running O/S version 4.9.40-v7. No issues getting onto the Internet via Wireless, etc. Using a wireless keyboard and a wired mouse. Also using a iNNEXT SNES retro controller. I'm displaying to a 22" 1920x1080 display. No issue seeing the Linux command line and Windows manager. Surfing the Internet is just fine.... :-)
I've managed to install RetroPie 4.2 (via 5 hours ago, just a recent update).
For the life of me, I can't get this Pi device to recognize a couple new ROMS I've added into the the default ../roms/nes sub-dir. It does see a ROM I installed yesterday, but nothing more. (When I try to run that recognized ROM, I receive a "sh:1 retroarch not found" error. When I fire up ES, it only shows the one ROM that I managed to install yesterday, (but I'm unable to play it). Nothing happens after I've selected the game. It just re-displays with that one game listed for selection. My game controller is configured just fine, all of the keys toggle ok.
I've gone through and updated all packages. I've also installed the Steven Selph's scraper. Ran that a few times.
Yes, I've rebooted this Pi device so many times, I can't even tell you. Still, even after reboots, it does not pick up the 2 new ROM's.
I've gone through and done the basic, plus all of the other package installs.
I've viewed this site, and I do NOT have the option for "other settings". https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/FAQ
Is there a way via command line to toggle on/off "parse gameslist only"? Since I don't have this as an option via ES, I have no idea if it's on/off.
TIA,
-Jav -
Ok, I think I figured it out. For some reason I had a es_systems.cfg in my ~/.emulationstation that was causing a conflict. I've renamed it, and I'm now able to see my 3 ROMS.
