So this issue is perhaps overly specific, so bear with me. I have installed retropie on a rapsberry pi 3 b, with the pre made image. I then installed a port of texmaster (as described here https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/8745/texmaster-port/9)

So far so good. The issue is when I try to wire an arcade stick to the gpio. I wired according to the diagram provided by the creator of texmaster. https://tetrisconcept.net/threads/sanwadenshi-silent-joystick.2876/

The weird thing, is that instead of using a common GND, he has it setup to use a 3.3v pin. It all works fine in texmaster.

However, I'd like to be able to use this setup in for other games, and for controlling the retropie interface. I installed adafruit's retrogame, but this appears to have conflicted with texmaster's gpio setup and causes the game to crash.

I'm really not sure what to do here. I don't have any way of changing the gpio setup for texmaster. I was wondering if there was a way to install retrogame, but have it automatically be disabled for texmaster. Then I can just build a manual switch that swaps the wire between the 3.3v and gnd. Not an ideal solution, but not sure what else to do.

      Any ideas/suggestions?
