Help with MSDOS

What do you mean you are running MS dos? Are you running Dosbox or RPix86 ?
-
dos box
-
@ethany117 when you are in dosbox if you press ctrl + f1 you get into the controller and keyboard controls. You can assign a key or button to shutdown and you can assign a hotkey to it. That way you can exit anytime you need to. I assigned them exactly like retroarch for both keyboard and controller.

What happens when you run ES arena on Dosbox on PC? Have you tried that?
-
@hex no i havent
-
Please try that. It will tell you if that game is even supported by dosbox.
Next you can try running it on Pi3 if you have one. So graphics cpu and ram bottlenecks can be ruled out
-
@ethany117 you need to install it on your pc. Then take the arena folder from c:\ put it on the pi and then run ARENA.BAT in dosbox
-
@hex it does say it is supported
-
@edmaul69 i dont have a pc so i can't check to see if it works there
-
@ethany117 you have to install it on a pc to get the arena folder. The file is zipped and inside that is an executable zip file. You need it to execute it on a pc to get the arena folder that goes on the pi.
-
THe only thing that is working is the installer. Any suggestions for the path lines
-
@ethany117 ok if that works, you need to mount the c: drive. In dosbox first type:
mount c /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/pc
If that is already done, at the point you are at type arena. Then the ARENA.BAT should be in the arena folder
-
@edmaul69 The original pictures were from me running the .bat
-
@ethany117 arena.bat did not do that for me. It booted right into the game. Are you sure you arent typing install or something else and not arena? You dont have to install as it has already been setup.
