While, I love them, my DS3's are getting old and need to be replaced. I just got a couple DS4's for $40 from Walmart. They work great, but they don't auto shut off, and I'm really bad about remembering to turn them off, especially if I fall asleep watching something on Kodi.

Now I know the wiki says that the Dualshock 4 WILL NOT auto turn off when it's idle, but I really, really want it to. Given the magic of open source software, how difficult would it be to change this?

Or perhaps it would be possible to run a background script that keeps track of how long a controller has been idle and turns it off after 10 minutes or so?

      Anyone have any ideas?
