Just a quick one , I'm looking through some of my old Sega Megadrive roms and a couple seem to be a .gen folder yet on the compatibility wiki that doesn't seem supported. Is that the case?

If they are rom files, then you should be able to rename the .xxx extension to one of the supported names without any issue.

Yes, that should work. It certainly won't hurt anything if it doesn't.

For reference, the supported formats (in es_systems.cfg) for the Megadrive are
.smd .bin .gen .md .sg .zip .SMD .BIN .GEN .MD .SG .ZIP

I've updated the Wiki with this.

.gen files certainly work with both picodrive and gx-plus-gx emualtor cores.

Please read the Docs before asking a new question.
