Just a thought of an idea with the new collections feature, it may be a better way to combine the multiple arcade games into one system. Keep the MAME and FBA in their respective folders, then use the collections feature to put them into one group. This would make maintaining the roms easier when FBA updates. Currently, I'm updating my FBA setup, and had to write a script to cross-check my roms in the arcade folder with my /opt/configs/retropie/all/emulators.cfg file to make sure I copy only the FBA roms over, without overwriting the MAME files with the same name. Using the collections feature would also allow the different bios files (i.e. neogeo) to co-exist. To reduce clutter on the ES system selection screen, one could remove the FBA and MAME entries from ~/.emulationstation/es_systems.cfg file.

Just wanted to throw this idea out there. Happy tinkering!

@jell I am confused? Are you changing out all of your FBA roms to a new romset? If you are simply updating FBA, there should be no need to do anything with the roms in any of the folders.

@TMNTturtlguy I am indeed swapping out all of my FBA roms to the new version. I was under the impression that there could be problems using old roms with newer FBA, and it is best to update to the corresponding romset?
