      Re: [controller works in menu](but not in game and some games don't launch)

      First of all, completely new to raspberry pi, retropie, etc. Any grace is greatly appreciated.

      Okay, so I'm going nuts here. I picked up an arcade joystick/buttons and built a cabinet. If I play something older like NES or SNES - no problems. Menus, no problem. However, if I play any arcade games (using libreto), I'm out of luck. The second joystick is not configured at all how I set it up/default. I've tried going in and configuring the controller manually through regroarch.cfg, I've tried configuring through retroarch, I've tried getting in game and configuring through retroarch, nothing works. In fact, if I go to the menu and try to configure the controls while the rom is open, it then no longer even recognizes the second joystick. If i try to bind a button, it's like I'm not even pressing anything. (fwiw - the buttons are LED and are still glowing, so it's not like they're getting unplugged, just totally unrecognized).

      So, at this point I'm totally at a loss. Anyone have any advice?

        @hank-scorpio

        How do you have the controls attached to your Pi, are they connected directly to the gpio or is there a usb interface of some description?

        Also, you should check out the read this first link at the top of the forum pages (https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first) and complete the information requested in there in your post.
