I'm working on one as a project for a friend. I think I have most of it done - and I thought I'd come over here quick and just see if anyone has any last minute suggestions to make it a little cooler; little flourishes and what have you.

So far I've done a fair bit to it:

      -removed bootup text
      -added video splashscreen
      -sselph's scraper installed
-comic theme with video previews enabled; omxplayer.
      -runcommand splashscreens setup
-two snes controllers configured for various systems

      I think that's about it.

I'm considering removing the retropie setup menu, if I can do that easily. He's never going to have to mess with those settings. I'd just take his card and update it if need be. I've never really messed around with doing that. It's just unnecessary, though, and I think it'd look better without it being there.

Any other cool little things to add to it, perhaps? Or did I get most of the goodies?

What kind of hardware/enclosure are you using? Maybe 3D print a little NES?

If tetris has thought me anything, it's that errors pile up and that accomplishments dissappear.

@wizzykin How about shaders to provide a retro-crt look? Are you running any?
