      Hi all,

I am thinking about investing in a couple of DS4 V2's for my Pi 3B / Retropie 4.2 setup. I've been reading about people having a lot of trouble with this controller (V1 I guess) (Buttons not responding/ghost inputs/latency issues), but does this also apply to the V2 edition? The new feature is full usb functionality (not just charging like the V1) when using the controller with your ps4 (and Pi too I assume). So if I would use the DS4 V2 like a wired controller, then will it work without issues? Anyone with experience on this?

DS4 v1 also acts as a wired controller when plugged into anything other than a PS4. no issues with ghost inputs with the v1 here, when wired. not tried a v2.

@dankcushions O thanks that's very helpful. I really had my eyes set on the ps1 styled 20th anniversary ds4 controller, but that color layout is only available as a V1..so that could still be an option. (I prefer wired.)
