mame roms

was trying to get donkey kong 2 jumpmans revenge rom working , any advice ive tried almost all versions of mame availible. the rim is dkongx.zip I am on the latest retropie 4.3

And that is the issue. dkongx.zip from which romset? Single roms from random places are the path to great frustration. Better read these before you do anything else....

I believe this rom isn't supported on the retropie,

@gobot61 I think you didn't read the docs. Runs fine for me.

I read the docs , this is a hacked rom of donkey kong 2 , there is only one bin file in the zip , not sure how to get it to run , the mame version is 139u2. not sure if I have to copy it into the donkey Kong us1 set or even if it will work on pie at all.
