    Mame2010 unable to keybind certain buttons

      Ok guys, I am very new to the Retropi software and Mame emulators however, I do know a little. My issue is this. I have built my own custom arcade cabinet with 2 joysticks with 8 buttons each, start/select, p1, p2 and coin. Previously I was using Mame2003 with the .78 romset without issues. I was able to keybind all of my buttons to include the p1/p2/coin however, upon installing Mame2010 some of the buttons will not key bind. I am unable to keybind my p1/p2/ coin keys and a few of the other buttons. It simply will not recognize them when pressed. Is anyone else having this issue and if so, what is the fix. Just an FYI, I have absolutely no coding experience. Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated as I have spent hours online trying to get answers with no resolution.
