Amiberry and IPAC controls
-
Hi all,
I have searched the forum and can't find any specific info on this.
I have installed Amiberry and it all works fine, apart from the controls and specifically my IPAC.
Under the "Input" tab Amiberry is initially configured to work with the "dpad as joystick". If I use this option then the joystick works but I have no fire button. I can change the input to "IPAC", as it appears as an option (so it appears to recognise it is there), but then the joystick and fire button does not work.
I have searched and can find information that suggests custom controls do not currently work, although this is be fixed in a future release.
However, I am assuming that this has nothing to do with my IPAC as I do not want custom controls, I simply want to be able to use the joystick controls. I have configured the IPAC and it works fine with Mame, lr-Fuse, etc. I believe these emulators pull down the controller configuration from the retroarch.cfg.
Amiberry does not seem to be doing this, is there anything I am missing

@tuki_cat IPAC is typically a keyboard interface. Modern versions can be setup using the WinIPAC utility to behave as a joystick controller, but most people use it as a keyboard device. Configured this way, all it is doing is sending keystrokes. Amiberry would have to be capable of receiving inputs via keyboard. If you can plug in a real USB keyboard for all of the inputs (direction and buttons) you should be able to use an IPAC.
