      Under Device Index in retroarch menu, both my controllers (completely different names and brands) are #1... how do i make one of those #1 to a #2?

        @red2blue you didn't provide enough info about your system, as adviced in the read-this-first post.

        Try the RetroPie-joystick-selection tool and see if it solves your issue. Link on my signature.
