      Problem:
Turbo Fire specifically not working for Dragon Spirit for Turbo Grafx 16:

The mapped Turbo On/Off buttons X & Y (Xbox360 controller) work to display turbo On/Off on the tv display but the Turbo Grafx I & II mapped buttons (A & B on the Xbox 360 controller) stop functioning when the Turbo is ON. When Turbo is turned back off they start functioning again. This problem only seems to happen in Dragon Spirit. I have checked and deleted all configs for remapping in the Retroarch directory (There is nothing). I have reinstalled retropie using blue moon again and I am stumped. Other games have working turbo fire buttons.

I have also tried the PC Engine version of Dragon Spirit and is seems to have the same problem with the turbo fire not working.

Can someone please test this game on their setup and respond back to let me know if I am the only one with this problem? Thanks

      Running:
Retropie v4.3 (updated from blue moon image v4.1?)

Tested on both Japanese and US versions, on a Pi3b with a 8bitdo NES30 Pro controller.

Same behavior. I seem to recall the turbo only working for this game on the lowest setting on the actual system though.

@edale i havent played but in the manual it does say to use turbo for faster shooting. But not sure which speed it might or might not support.

I have a tg16 system and a pc engine. The turbo fire works for both buttons on both systems as well as USA/JAP versions of Dragon Spirit.

I have found a workaround solution:

              NOT WORKING
              lr-beetle-pce-fast
There is some sort of bug when using Turbo Fire with Dragon Spirit

              WORKING
              lr-beetle-supergafx
Once Turbo Fire is "enabled" in Retroach and the delay is set to the default of "3" Turbo Fire works correctly with Dragon Spirit

lr-beetle-supergafx - Also solves the same problem with Turbo Fire for Monster Lair (Turbo Grafx CD)

@cloudd Hi, I found your post, and am trying to replicate this in RetroArch. In the current version I have the options Turbo Mode: Classic or Single Button and Turbo Default Button. I'm not sure what you mean by 'the delay'. I've been trying with the lr-beetle-supergafx core.

@marukotenada the poster hasn't been here in 4 years - there's a slim chance it will reply back. Please don't bump old topics - open a new topic instead and explain your issue.
