      Hi guys,

Fairly new to Retropie so apologies if this is obvious but I am having some problems updating from 4.2 to 4.3.

Currently I'm running 4.2 on a Pi3 Model B with a Samsung 32gb Evo+ sd card and the official power supply.

When trying to update I'm coming across two problems depending on how I try to update. If I try updating all packages I get an error saying "Could not install package(s):vlc". All seems fine after a reboot until I try to access Retropie Config, it just fails to load and sends me back to EmulationStation, tried this three times, same result each time.

The other problem I have is if I try a basic install instead. All seems OK until I restart, EmulationStation then fails to load at all and I get an error message stating "cannot execute binary file". Again tried updating this way three times and same result each time.

Having spent a fair bit of time setting everything up I don't really want to do a fresh install but is this my only remaining option?

I would be grateful for any imput you can give me.

      Cheers
