Hi, as many of you may know (I didn't), Rogue Squadron and the other Star Wars games are real PITAs to emulate for N64. According to the info I found here:

      http://emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/Mupen64Plus

there's a particular setup to get SW:RS running, but involves installing and setting up a couple mupen plugins, namely z64 and cxd4. The thing is, I have no idea about how to do it.
The setup instructions seem to refer to the standalone version, but no info about how to config the libretro core. I am supposed to set "video" to "z64" and "rsp" to "cxd4", but in Retroarck quick menu there's no "video" parameter (at least, not labeled as such) and the RSP parameter only admits two values: "HLE" and "LLE".
Also. I guess I should download the z64 plugin and copy it somewhere, but again no info on how to get it (I found z64 github, but you can only download the source there, not the compiled plugin) or where to put it.

      Help pleez :)

you can run rogue squadron using retropie's default mupen64plus-gliden64 emulator, thanks to recent developments. you should update it from source to ensure you have the latest version.

Well I am using ES + Retroarch on a windows machine. Is that a new libretro core, or do you mean the standalone version?

retropie doesn't run on windows so i'm not sure why you're here :)

but yes, we use standalone mupen64plus by default. gliden64 is the graphics plugin. this combo runs rogue squadron.

Well the windows port of EmulationStation seems to have been left behind a long time ago (save for the valiant efforts by @jdrassa, thanks a lot mate ), so this is the closest we poor windows users have to a home ;)

Thanks for the tip, will try it today. It's a pity there's no retroarch core addressing this, having all your config in the same place is a huge asset.
