      Hey, doing research to start a business putting together retropie systems for the non-geek community. Anyone know who sells Pi by the pound?

        @gromek1243 RetroPie's license does not allow you to sell it. Please don't do that.

          Oops, I haven't read the license stipulations yet. Thanks for the heads up.

              @Gromek1243

              You could probably sell the pi and hardware (Assuming you have permission), but you can't sell the software. I don't know if providing free guides on how to do this is allowed or not.

              Edit:

              "RetroPie is a system to install/configure emulators on an existing OS – The RetroPie Setup Script is released under the GPL.

              The image we provide is Raspbian Lite with RetroPie pre-installed. Much of the software included in the RetroPie image have non-commercial licences. Because of this selling a pre-installed RetroPie image is not legal – this includes “giving away” a pre-installed RetroPie with your commercial product. Including copyrighted games with RetroPie is also not allowed.

              If you are selling hardware that supports RetroPie you should provide a link to our site for your customers rather than including a RetroPie image with your product."

                  Just put some decent kits together, create PDF/video guides on how to install Retropie, how to put ROMs on the system and all the other basics.
                  Don't forget to use homebrews for examples and mention that using ROMs of games you don't own, or BIOS of systems you don't own is illegal.
                  Give credit to RetroPie/homebrew developers.

                  Doing this I think you are in the clear.
