Pi Model or other hardware: pi 3 model b
Power Supply used: cana kit supplied power supply
      RetroPie Version Used :4.3
Built From: pre made from pi site
USB Devices connected: 750gig samsung hdd
Controller used: dragon rise arcade sticks
      Error messages received: none
      Guide used:

so i followed the guide in the link above, everything worked fine apart from it doesnt copy over the roms like it says it should. it copies over all the folders and bios files etc but there is nothing in the rom folders so nothing shows in my menu when the usb drive is connected. if i unplug it and restart the pi everything shows back up fine but when the usb is connected nothing shows.
should it copy everything over automatically? or do i need to do it manually?
also on a side note, my hdd caddy for the external drive is powered via usb, it works when its connected to the pi so it has enough power to run it but is this ok? will it become a problem if i leave the pi to power the hdd on its own?
      any help is great thanks
