      It's really a shame that the only thing that is making the zdoom build on Retropi depended by a keyboard after setup is the inability to select and go back with a gamepad on the game menu.

      You can already input text when creating a save game, so it's really the only thing that is lacking for a normal playthrough.

      The regular versions of Zdoom are already coded to make this possible, so it would be great if we could navigate the menus on RetroPi too.

      Just a sugestion to make doom more pleasant on the Rasberry.

        @csl yea it would be great. I use lr-prboom simply because of this. I know there’s a way around it but I don’t want to get in to figuring it out. I’d love to use zdoom because I think it looks so much better, unless there’s a way to improve the quality of the image in lr-prboom that I’m not aware of.

          Other then doing controller mapping I don't think there is a way. Till someone one finds a way to get the latest zdoom + I think it is called. On retropie
