Apple ][ games
-
Back in the day I had an Apple ][ Europlus (yep 220-240V fancy eh) so I'm particularly interested in games for that,
Now I'm not asking here (as I doubt its allowed) re the ROM's but what I want to know is if there is a specific emulator required?
And if so where I can get that emulator.
Ta.

@landyvlad I don’t know much about Europlus, but if it is Apple II games you want to run, you can install Linapple. You can read all about it in the Docs. Otherwise, if you are really ambitious, you can try using AdvanceMESS which is part of AdvanceMAME to run Apple II emulation. This isn’t officially documented, but it is what I use. I don’t know the thread off the top of my head, but if you do an advance search for posts by me with MESS and Apple, you should be able to find a bunch of my notes from about six months ago.

@landyvlad on retropie i use linapple. You get it from retropie setup in the retropie menu. Since you didnt mention if you are even using retropie, if you are using windows, winapple is the original version that was ported to linux as linapple.

@landyvlad nice to see another person who likes the apple ii. I had an apple iie as a kid. HERE is my apple apple iie i modded the crap out of. If you ever decided you wanted to mod an apple iie with a pi i could help you with it.

Yeah I'm using retropie. If I weren't I'd be unlikely to have used this forum ! :)
and thanks for the offer, but I'm not THAT attached to Apples... just wan to relive some old games.
I'll give Linapple a try.
Cheers all.

@landyvlad you would be surprised how many people come here and ask questions about emulationstation and emulators for windows.

@LandyVlad Was curious if you were ever able to get anything to work?
I started my build of the retropie but im running into the issue where a lot of the Apple II files are split up into disk1/disk2 or sideA/sideB.
Was curious if you were ever able to get anything running or if you ran into this same issue?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!!

@blize in linapple if you press f1 it tells you what all the f keys do. After you start with say disk one you can load in disk 2 with i believe f3 and f4 for the two drives and one of the keys lets you swap them too. F2 may be how you load it or it resets. I forget.
