Re: Individual Bezels for Systems sharing one Emulator
Hey Everybody!
So I came across the above post as I had the same problem and was searching for an answer but had no such luck.
I have zero experience with coding, and I have had this RP3 for about a week now. I am making a Retropie console for my girlfriend as a Christmas gift and wanted it to look spot on so getting rid of the black boarders was a must.
After rooting about in all the configs I managed to figure out how to fix the above problem, for many of you this was probably quite easy to figure out but for me it was a small victory and wanted to share for those who couldn't do it as that seems like the thing to do in this friendly community!
(Before I start please excuse my poor use of terminology, I will try by best)
Note - I use notepad++ for the editing, and the emulator I'm using as an example is Gameboy
Make sure you have no overlays set in Gambette.cfg (located \RETROPIE\configs\all\retroarch\config\Gambatte), just delete any lines that say input_overlay and save
Head to \RETROPIE\configs\gb and open retroarch.cfg
Now assuming you have your overlays in the overlay folder, add the following line above #include "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg"
input_overlay = "/opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/overlays/(the overlay you want).cfg"
And save. Job done!
Do the same for Gameboy Color.
Don't add the Gameboy Color through the retroarch gui on your pi as it will overwrite the above.
This can be used for mastersystem, megadrive/genesis/, 32x etc
If anyone can rewrite this better, please be my guest.
