I have two brand new 8bitdo NES30 Pro controllers one with firmware 4.0 and one with 4.1. I turn the power on, the remotes both blink blue but neither are found when I use the "Register and Connect to Bluetooth Device. (I do not try them at the same time.). I have checked to see if PS3 driver is installed and it is not. I saw XBOX driver was installed so I uninstalled it. The controllers work fine, I know this because my MacBook Pro bluetooth finds them within 3 seconds. What am I missing? Please help.

@norbit2 While I don't have this particular model, when I paired my 8bitdo controller I tried multiple times until I got it to show in the 'Register and Connect' dialog. How do you start the controller ? There are multiple pairing options depending on the protocol (Xinput, Android, macOS, Switch).

@mitu I just hold the power on button until the lights turn on, then let go and lights continue to blink.

@norbit2 just so you know it might not show up as an 8-bitdo controller. It might be just numbers and letters because it does that like 90% of the time. So try anything that shows up. And to sync you need to hold down both the power button and then the sync button next to the power to put it into sync mode.

@edmaul69 I wish anything would show up but I get "No devices found..."

@norbit2 I should note the light sequence on controller is as follows: Blink, Blink, Off, Off, Blink, Blink, Off Off, ETC..... Thus pairing in Windows mode.

@norbit2 that is not pairing mode. Pairing mode is after you power it on hold the sync button until the lights turn purple. Then it is slow blue blink on off on off.....

@edmaul69 Purple flash means Connection and pairing data has been reset.

@norbit2 and that is what you have to do to pair it. Trust me. I have paired a ton of these no problems.

@edmaul69 What is the button sequence for this? I have not gotten the purple lights yet. Also, I actually have an NES30 Pro but I believe it is the same just looks different.

@norbit2 hold down the power button until the lights come on. Then let go. Next hold the sync button that is next to the power button until the lights flash purple/pink

@norbit2 i dont have the nes version but it should be the same. However, just hold the sync button until it flashes a color if it happens to be a different color than purple/pink.

@edmaul69 I have done exactly that and it will quickly flash blue. As I stated, My computer can see them right away, the Pie will not find either of them.

@norbit2 the android mode is probably the correct one for the pi. Definitely not the windows mode. On the plus side, i took my controller apart, pulled off the joystick cap and put it back on correctly and its fine. :)
